Why A Zestimate Is Not An Accurate Way To Estimate Your Home's Value

Zillow's Zestimate is simply an algorithm, that is only as accurate as the data behind it, meaning that it may be outdated or incorrect.

Zestimates should only be used as a broad guideline. It should not, in any way, be considered an appraisal.

A comparable market analysis from a local real estate agent and a professional appraisal of the home are the best ways to learn your home's true value.

Dean Mandile

A second-generation realtor and native Los Angeles resident, Dean “Dino” Mandile got his start in the real estate industry early. He and his brother Justin have a combined experience of 20 years, thanks to their father, an industry leader who helped pave the way for them.

Real estate is embedded in Dean's blood. When he was in college at the University of Colorado Boulder, he would often come home on his breaks to do some work for his father's company. During the three years he spent studying for his MBA at Webster University in London, Dean worked as a wealth management consultant.
